I realllly need help! please!! giving out medals! :) Part A: What do the x-intercepts and maximum value of the graph represent? What are the intervals where the function is increasing and decreasing and what do they represent about the sale and profit? (5 points) Part B: If at one time the profit of the company was at least one hundred dollars, what domain could possibly produce this profit? (2 points) Part C: What is an approximate average rate of change of the graph from x = 2 to x = 5 and what does this rate represent? (3 points)
from the picture, it looks like it is increasing from \(x=0\) to \(x=5\) and decreasing from \(x=5\) to \(x=10\)
the maximum value of the graph is 160, at least that is what it looks like this occurs when \(x=5\)
Thank you so much! Do you think you can help me out with part b and c?
sure

it is really hard for me to see from this picture, but it looks like the curve is larger than 100 from \(x=2\) up to \(x=8\) you can probably tell better than i can
What is an approximate average rate of change of the graph from x = 2 to x = 5 and what does this rate represent at \(2\) the sales are \(100\) and at \(5\) then are \(160\) average rate of change is like the slope \[\frac{160-100}{5-2}=\frac{60}{3}=20\]
i guess it means "on average" and increase of one unit in sales brings another 20 dollars, or whatever that unit is
Thank you so much!!
