this will help you understand.... a solid circle means there is an equal sign an open circle means there is no equal sign if you look at your inequality signs (<) less then is pointing left, that means shading goes to the left (>) greater then is pointing right, this means greater then shades to the right. Basically, shading occurs in the direction the inequality sign is pointing. look at the number line....closed circle means there is an equal sign..this eliminates A and B. Shading is going to the right...this means greater then. answer is x >= -2
