Why is it important to know how much time you spend on tasks?
Why is it important to know how much time to spend on tasks? It is important for many reasons. but here's an example. let's say, you got a meeting at 2:00. You need to leave the house at 1:50. Can you wash the dishes before you leave? It depends on how long the activity takes. If it takes hours to do the dishes, then you will not have time. But if it takes less then 20 minutes, then I'm sure you will have time to do that and still be on time for your meeting. Another example, you ask? Okay. Washing the dishes is quite a task. It takes 30 minutes! But look, it was only a couple plates. Why did it take that long? When you know how long it did take you, you can figure out how long it SHOULD have taken you. Then, it makes you start brainstorming why it took you so long, and how to fix it. That's when you remember, oh yeah! I had to feed the pet goldfish in the middle of washing the dishes. That poor fish must have been really hungry! So that's why it took me longer. Next time, it'll go quicker if I feed the fish before I start washing the dishes. :D
