What are the steps involved in protein synthesis when you start with the DNA code in the nucleus and end up with a polypeptide in simple terms please?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

First the mRNA is decoded (5' \(\rightarrow\) 3') direction. Then synthesized in the amino-to-carboxyl direction. Then the tRNA comes in and serves as the adapter molecule that binds to a specific anticodon and brings it with an amino acid for incorporation into the popupeptide chain and so forth.
