1st even integer is x Next even integer consecutively will be x + 2, right? So... x + (x + 2) = 226 and you'll have your answer. Or...you don't even really need algebra for this one. Just guess. Pick an even integer that is about half of 226 and then the next biggest even integer and add 'em together. If not correct...slightly adjust.
