Which is an example of electrical energy?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a light bulb giving off heat but no light ?

OpenStudy (compphysgeek):

both light and heat are examples of energy radiated from the light bulb. that energy is transformed from electric energy.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@compphysgeek thanks bro

OpenStudy (compphysgeek):

no worries.

OpenStudy (compphysgeek):

it's just important to remember that energy comes in different forms. each form can be transformed into another form. here it is electrical energy into heat and light. Light is electromagnetic radiation. so it might still be considered as being electric energy

OpenStudy (compphysgeek):

and for that matter, heat too can be transported in form of electromagnet radiation, so it too might still be considered as electric energy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright thanks for the advice man. it can change into different types of forms depending on the outcome transforming right ?

OpenStudy (compphysgeek):

yea, so you can use a wind turbine to transform kinetic energy of wind into electric energy. Electric energy then can be used at home to power all the appliances at home for example. so you take one form of energy and transform it into another form that you can use to perform work. the kitchen appliance then takes that energy and basically transforms the energy into something else.
