Al2O3... how would you name that cuz I remember my science teacher saying something about no prefixes in the beginning so would it be, Aluminum trioxide?

It is called aluminum oxide... it is just that you add their valence number...for example aluminum has 3+ and Oxygen has 2-. so you basically crisscross.i suggest you download a common valance sheet from internet. it'll make your life much easier. |dw:1387416684742:dw|
