Hi, Victoria_Davis_2018, 

A dot plot runs along only the x-axis. The a-axis lies horizontal on a plain. You will have a series of numbers on a given chart, or you will make your own chart, and plug in your own coordinates. 

For example, If I had Class A: 3, 2, 1. 
My dot plot would look something like this: 
|dw:1387422244893:dw|

Take your initial values, and plug them in on a chart, whether it is your own or pre-made. Dot plots are simple, and have been used for hundreds of years.

I know what a dot plot is I am just completely confused right now. I just drew something that looked right to me and I hope it is.
