A fortune teller gets paid $60 for each fortune he tells, and his goal is to earn $2280 telling fortunes this month. If he has already told 2 fortunes this month, how many more fortunes must he tell in order to reach his goal?

i think its 36 more fortunes .. he needs 2280 and has already told 2 which is 120$ well take the nummber he needs (2280) and subtract was hes earned (120) = 2160 then divid that by 60 which is 36? i think thats how its done :)

that sound right...I was gonna put this : 60x = 2280 - 120 and then solve for x Basically, your explanation is saying the same thing :)
