Pontiac's Rebellion (1863-1866) took place at the end of the French and Indian War and was a stalemate between the Native American tribes and the British army. Neither side was able to evict theother, and the British eventually changed the policies that led to the conflict.The Proclamation of 1763 reflected the British attempt to prevent American colonists from instigating frontier wars, but was ultimately unsucessful
