Write an indirect proof proving only one angle of an obtuse triangle is greater than 90°.
Okay... indirect proof means you assume that the conditions are true, but the conclusion is false... and then look for a contradiction.
ok and contradiction means if I say x*5 = 25, that is a contradiction since I assumed x was negative.
When you assume you have to state it... anyway... First we assume that we have an obtuse triangle. Next step?
then we assume that the triangle is greater than 90 degrees
Not the triangle, we assume that it's not true that there's only one angle in the triangle greater than 90 degrees (negating the conclusion)
Since it is an obtuse triangle, there is *AT LEAST* one angle in the triangle which measures more than 90 degrees, right? (the obtuse angle)
ok so then the statement would be that we have an obtuse triangle. But one triangle is greater than the other one.
No... we have more than one angle which measures more than 90 degrees.
ok can you just give me the answer because this is the last one on my segment test and then i am done with the course
Well, that's not happening... this is way too fun to just spoil :D
ok ill just get it wrong because i have a 95% in the class and one question wrong don't matter because i don't give a flutter.
Suit yourself :)
flutter i dont know why it change the cuss words
Because minors have access to this site? And anyway, you're right, at the rate you're going, who needs this question anyway? :D
thanks for trying to help have a nice day if you need help in bio let me know because i am in ap bio im really good at it
Thanks for the offer. I'll keep that in mind ^_^
