The Treaty of Paris of 1898 was signed on December 10, 1898.

It stipulated that it had to be ratified by the President of the United States with the consent and advice of the US Senate (February 6, 1899) and by Her Majesty the Queen Regent of Spain (on March 19, 1899).

They exchanged these ratifications to effect conditions of this treaty on April 11, 1899 in Washington.
