How do you graph these three equations seperately? y=1/x-4 -2 y=1/x+2 +4 y=1/x-2 -3
mathway.com .. have fun
the point here is to watch what happens in each equation compared to 1/x ie y=1/x-4 -2 it is just 1/x the -4 moves it right 4 places the -2 down 2
they are color coded
Thank you!!
Does The first one equal 4 or -4?
And does the second one equal 2 or -2?
@zpupster
https://www.desmos.com/calculator this website is awesome! Want me to show you one?
i have two graph that look like that and one is 4 or -4 and idk whuch one it is. @RICARDOismyfirstname
I got you girl! watch this!
Okay!
You mean like that??
Yes but i need the first two equations. For the first one its the same graph but its -4 or 4 and the second one is the same graph but its -2 or 2 and i cant tell @RICARDOismyfirstname
oh okay, lemme see!
okay!
something like that?
Yes but i dont see whether its -2 or 2
Wait yes i do
I thought I was doing the -4 or 4
you did both. i see 4 and -2
WAIT. it says y=4 or x=4... which ones y and x?
Honestly, you just lost me. What is the initial question that you are being asked?
Im so sorry. I thought it said which one is -4 or 4 by x. But instead for both graphs theyre the same but it says y=4 and x=4
ohh, yeah, i don't know which one is y or x. maybe you have to solve for x and y??
I dont understand that tho..
me neither... sad face:(
ill try to figure it out! Thanks!
No problem! If you need help let me know!!!!!!!
okay!
y=1/x-4 -2 this is what i graphed first y=1/(x-4) -2 or the same but written y=(1(x-4)) -2
