please help me understand! Solve the system using elimination 3x + 2y = −6 − x − 2y = 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2y and -2y would cancel each other out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3x-x = 2x and -6+10 = 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that would turn out to be 2x=4. then divide two on each side and you get x=2

@abb0t @eliassaab Am I right??? I haven't done this in a while

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=2, y=-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you add or subtract the two parts?

nvm figured it out thanks a lot guys!!
