The diagram below shows four objects in the solar system which have equal masses.
Do you have the diagram?
Which of these pairs of objects exerts the least gravitational force on each other? Object 1 and Object 3 Object 4 and Object 3 Object 1 and Object 2 Object 4 and Object 2
Yep
Okay, this one, I'm not so sure on. but I believe its Object 1 and Object 2. See how far away those are? Because of its distance, it would have the least amount of effect of the other one. Let's pretend Object 1 exploded. Which object would be LEAST effected? Object 2, of course! it's the farthest away, so it would probably not be set on fire
Okay that makes sense
Thank you :)
Yah, and gravity can only go so far. Think about our solar system. The gravity of the sun effects the orbits of the closest planets the most. But what about Pluto? That poor little dwarf planet hardly feels the impact of the sun's gravitational pull :)
Lollll :( #poorpluto
Yeah, the poor little fellow drifting so far away. I often feel bad for the guy. Such a small planet. Very little light makes it down to him, and its awfully dark and cold. Then again, it IS just a planet. But I still feel bad for it
Lolll Im cracking up. I feel a little bad for it too.
Yup. D=
Any other questions?
Yes lol
