I need help with Geo. I attached a file :) Thank You!

OpenStudy (nikato):

So look at the 2 triangles. What do u know that are congruent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Isn't it like a half?DBA is congruent to DBC. sorry I'm really bad in math :(

OpenStudy (nikato):

Are u talking about the angles DBA and DBC?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I am

OpenStudy (nikato):

If that's true, then yes they are congruent becuz as shown in the diagram, they r both right angles which means they r congruent. Ok, so what else is congruent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a and c?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b and d?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and what is a postulate?

OpenStudy (nikato):

I'm sorry, but what r u naming?^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Q number 1.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

part a.

OpenStudy (nikato):

And a postulate is something we use in geometry that can't be proven but we use it in proofs or reasons becuz they r true, kind of like a known fact. In ur case, postulates we will be using r to prove 2 triangles are congruent like ASA,SAS,SSS or HL

OpenStudy (nikato):

I think it'll be easier to find the corresponding parts and the. The postulate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay. Thanks.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm so confused :S

OpenStudy (nikato):

Ok, let's go back to the diagram, what else do u know congruent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Isn't the entire thing congruent to it's other half?

OpenStudy (nikato):

Can u be more specific?
