OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not so sure about that in the context of Hitler and the Reich. Hitler wasn't particularly religious and much of Nazi Germany centered on the supremacy of the state over everything else, even the Catholic Church. Efforts were made to essentially cancel out any sort of religious influence and supplant it with a cult of personality focused on the Fuhrer and the so-called Aryan race. It's one of the reasons for the Holocaust, the enslavement of the Slavs, and the lebensborn program which was set up to breed "perfect" children borne by SS men and volunteered women.

ok thanks
