Here is what I was thinking. W know all sides are equal. So on the smaller one, we have 13 + 13 + 15 + 15. Alright, know, we know on the bigger one, one side is 45.5, and on the similar one, the side is 13. So, if you multiply 13 by 3.5, you get 45.5. I feel that 3.5 is the scale factor. If I do that for 13 and 15, I get the dimensions 45.5, 45.5, 52.5, 52.5. When I add them all up, I get a total of 252. However, we're told that we have 4 strips of 36 inch long of molding. 4 * 36 = 144. However, I got 252. Did I do something wrong?
Or, am I just reading the question wrong?
