Can someone help me with these trig functions? Eval Cos^-1 (tan pi/4) sqrt2/2 pi 0 pi/4 Eval Cot (arctan3/5) 3/4 4/3 4/5 5/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tan(pi/4) means 1 then cos^-1(1) is nothing but 0 ......:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wow thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cotx = 1/tanx then cot(arctan(3/5)) = 5/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you just flip the fraction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes its exactly correct....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay! That was simpler than it looked, thanks for the help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

arctan(x) is nothing but tan^-1(x)
