will give you a medal Evaluate the expression when p=-24 and q=4 p/2q A. –48 B. –3 C. 3 D. 48
Okay. So if p = -24 you know that those two are exactly the same thing, so you can put -24 anywhere theres a p, and you can put p anywhere theres a 24.
The same is true for q and 4.
So, why don't we try that? A number next to a letter means to multiply them, so putting p in for -24 and q for 4 gives us -24 dicided by 2x 4
Ima give you your medal k
Thank you for helping me
No problem. Do you understand how it works though?
What is answer?
If two things are equal then you can substitute them anywhere
It should be fairly obvious at this point. What aren't you getting?
i just want the answer for my last question i been stuck on this for awhile so i just want answer to get done
Why have you been stuck on it? If I can help you understand how to do the problem, then if a similar problem shows up on a test you'll know how to do it.

The point of this site isn't for us to do your homework for you, its to help you understand whats going on in your class.
i know how to do just this problem im stuck on
Well what are you stuck on? Do you understand how substituting numbers and letters work? Do you know how mulitplying/ dividing negatives work?
idk why im stuck on this problem
If you just tell me what it is you're having an issue with, I can help you through it.
Okay. Try replacing the letters in the equation with numbers, see what that gets you.
