OpenStudy (aliyahrenee):

I NEED THIS ANSWERED ASAP. Suppose all of the following objects are traveling at the same velocity. Which object requires the greatest amount of force in order to change its velocity? A. a bicycle B. a motorcycle C. a sports car D. a pick-up truck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. velocities of all of them will be changed with any magnitude of force because any amount of force will produce acceleration in these objects. 2. but if you want to equally change velocities of these objects then obect with greater mass will require greater force so in this case pick-up truck will require greater force

your answer 1 is SPOT on.. ur answer 2 is terrible! :P.. the question wants you to basically change momentum. it has no timing information what so ever momentum change = force * time.. this immediately tells you, that you can achieve any momentum change u want, by any force that you want. just like maqson said in his point 1. his point 2 makes no sense what so ever.. ^_^
