What do they want? Factoring (simplification)? Long division? I'm not sure what's required here.

for 2-8 We simplify and 12 and 14 you multiply or divide

I see. Well, I always hesitate to give the answer straight away because I'd rather just offer help. :) So we're cancelling out common factors. In the first one, that's 2x. In the second, it's (x+3). In the next, it's (s-4) (if I'm doing that correctly)! Factor out that in each one, top and bottom, and your answer is what's left. Work on those first before doing the bottom two. You might be able to simplify those first before dividing - I haven't looked at them yet.
