translate and solve "the absolute value of three times a number ,n, is greater than 15"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|3n|>15. That's the written equation of the statement you're making. There's a number you could multiply by 3 to get 15, but we want 'greater' than 15, not 'greater than or equal to'. So without seeing the answer ahead of time, I'd write the answer as |n|> (that number). I'll let you solve from there.
