What would be the most likely outcome for plants on Earth if glucose molecules in cellulose were not arranged in an alternating pattern? Plants would not be able to create polysaccharides. Plants would not be able to store starches. Plants would not be able to grow tall. Plants would not be able to produce chlorophyll.
