I have no clue how to answer this.. Part 1: Explain, in complete sentences, the effects of multiplying a radical or a complex number by its conjugate. (2 points) Part 2: Give an example of each. (2 points) Thank you so much!

pretty sure you end up with the base idea example: i think the conjugate of sqrt(3) is sqrt(3), so multiplying sqrt(3) by sqrt(3) gives you 3 or like the conjugate of 3^1/3 is 3^2/3 because multiplying 3^1/3 * 3^2/3 gives you 3 or with complex numbers sqrt(-1) multiplied by sqrt(-1) is -1
