Can I get a negative answer when I am finding the diference of two volumes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a volume is always a positive quantity. the difference between two positive quantities will always be a positive number.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

difference, by convention, is bigger quality - smaller quality, which is always positive.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

no you can't have a negative answer but you could say container A has a volume that is x cm^3 less than container B
