Make a conjecture about the solution of a system of equations if the result of subtracting one equation from the other is 0 = 0 a. there are no solutions c. cannot determine any solution b. there are infinite number of solutions d. the solutions are inverses of each other
Im thinking its C. Cannot determine any solution..
No never mind its A there are no solutions because its inconsistent
If the result is 0 = 0 it means the two equations are identical. That means infinite solutions.
back from window shopping already? that was fast O.O
Remember the difference: a nonsense answer (like "0 = –2" in the previous problem) means an inconsistent system with no solution; a useless answer (like "0 = 0" above) means a dependent system where the whole line is the solution. http://www.purplemath.com/modules/systlin5.htm lol @sourwing I have to finish my class or ill fall behind
wth? it's only 3 days before christmas and you're still in school?
no I didn't finish my math before the semester ended because I had some family issues so I have to Finish it now or ill fall behind
If you get 0 = -2 then it is inconsistent and therefore, no solutions. Here they are saying you get 0 = 0. Example: 2x + y = 4 2x + y = 4 Subtract and you get 0 = 0 There is just one equation and two unknowns. That means infinite solutions. pick x = 0, then y = y pick x = 1, then y = 2 ... etc. infinite solutions.
Awesome thank you so much!
You are welcome.
well good luck lol
yeah I'm pretty close I'm at lil 75% only 25% left to go lol
