Hello everyone, I'm knew here, and need help please. I've this question from Advance Statistics Method Class, I lost my mind, could'nt solving it. it says for this problem, use the following multiple regression equation: Y(with an errow on top of it)= 5+ 2X1i + 1.5X2i a. interpret the meaning of the slopes. b. interpret the meaning of the Y intercept. and I thing this is the answer, for part (a) b1 is 2 and b2 is 1.5 for part (b) b0 is 5 how about you guys what do you think, or tell me please the answer.

sorry im in algebra 2

In all honesty, this may not be the best site for that sort of thing - most of the questions and levels of competance are up to some form of Calculus; so higher level statistics aren't exactly common-place...

The slopes tell you the best fit estimate of how the variable Y depend on the two independent variables, x1 and x2. The Y intercept is the best fit for x1=0 and x2 = 0, this equation is a plane with Y the "height" and x1 and x2 the other two axes.

Well thank you guys for your cooperation. I've already suppmite my assignment. I wrote this in my answer sheet for part (a) b1 is 2 and b2 is 1.5 for part (b) b0 is 5 Hoping it is correct.
