PLEASE HELP. WILL REWARD MEDAL/FAN. thirty is no greater than the sum of a number and -8 four times a number is less than or equal to the sum of 3 times the number and -2 write inequalities please. this is just a check. JUST A CHECK.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

30 <= n - 8 4n <= 3n - 2

OpenStudy (lilai3):

what do you mean by the arrows? i kind of don't understand.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's less than or equal sign

OpenStudy (lilai3):

oh okay. thank you. lol. i didn't really understand at first...give me a minute, i will type my equations above so that you can see.

OpenStudy (lilai3):

4n<=3n+(-2) and 30<s+n are they correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not the second one

OpenStudy (lilai3):

wait...what? for the first one... the one witht he number 30 in it....what?

OpenStudy (lilai3):

wait.... wha-? what?

OpenStudy (lilai3):

hello? can you please help me with the

OpenStudy (lilai3):

30 one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes 30 < s + n is wrong

OpenStudy (lilai3):

okay can you please help?

OpenStudy (lilai3):

like explain how you got your answer please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first you have two unknown variables when there should be only one. Second, no more than means not greater than, which means less than or equal to. so 30 <= n + (-8)

OpenStudy (lilai3):

why would it be that sign, though? i'm still not that clear..

OpenStudy (lilai3):

"no greater than"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you have no more than 5 dollars, don't you have at most 5 dollars? which means you have 5 dollars or less. So less than or equal to

OpenStudy (lilai3):

oh i kind of get it now. thank you.

OpenStudy (lilai3):

hope you enjoy your medal. thank you.

OpenStudy (lilai3):

thank you @sourwing
