Slope:(
the question ask us the midpoint lets write point A's coordinates A=(5,9) and B=(-1,3) midpoint is the average of coordinat x and y so for x 5+(-1)/2=2 for y 3+9/2=6 so midpoint is (2,6)
The formula for finding the midpoint is as follows. (x1+x2)/2, (y1+y2)/2 Your two coordinates are (-1, 3) and (5, 9) Plug them into the formula. Understand?
Yes, thank you(:
State whether the slope of a line passing through (2, -3) and (1, 8) is positive, negative, zero or undefined.
Bit of a mistake in my last reply. The values are (5, 9) and (-1, 3) I accidentally swapped them, which would mess up the formula.
So that isnt the midpoint?
The formula that I gave you is still correct, I had just accidentally swapped A and B in my first reply.
Thankyou
