Mrs. Smith bought 3 pieces of fabric. A side of the largest piece is 3 times as long as a side of the middle one, and a side of the middle one is 3 times as long as a side of the smallest one. The area of the largest piece is how many times the area of the smallest piece? A. 112 B. 81 C. 27 D. 9 E. 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3m + 3s = 9s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is 9 because it is multiplied by 3 twice because of two different stages of fabrics that it is bigger by.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 large fabric = 9 small fabrics in area
