-2(m-30)=-6m?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First divide both sides by -2 This will give you m-30 = 3m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then you must subtract 1m from both sides, leaving you with -30 = 2m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

After you divide each side by 2, you will end up having -15 = m

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

or....distribute the -2 through the parenthesis giving you : -2m + 60 = -6m -- add 2m to both sides 60 = -6m + 2m 60 = - 4m -60/4 = m -15 = m either way you do it, the answer will be the same :)
