|2x + 6|<16
2x + 6 < 16 2x + 6 < -16 - 6 - 6 - 6 - 6 2x/2 10/2 2x/2 -22/2 x < 5 x > -11
Select the graph that best represents the solution set for |x|<5?
I see no graph :(
well then how would you graph this i guess i should say?
x < 5 x > -5 The graph would look like this ------> http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=x+%3C+5+and+x+%3E+-5 <----
Or like This ---> http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%7Cx%7C%3C5+ <---- Which Is the same as the previous one - Only the graph put the Equations together Instead :)
your equation 2x + 6 < -16 was incorrect but you got the correct answer by a mistake on the last line
ok,thanks
One number is five more than another, and their sum is three less than three times the smaller. Find the numbers. If x represents the smaller number, which equation could be used to solve for x?
@cwrw238 Looks like I made a mistake on the first line - Not the last LOL Thanks for the clarification :)
2x + 6 > -16 - 6 - 6 2x/2 -22/2 x > -11 ^ That would be Correct. @scahvez Sorry for the Mistake!
thats ok @charlotte123
the choices that they give me is x 2 + 5 = 3x - 3,2x + 5 = 3x - 3, and 2x + 5 = 3(x - 3)
im not what to choose from
