Ok!

Okay, I really suck at Quadratic Equations and I think its time I asked for help. There is only one question I need help in: 1) For the quadratic equation, x^2 - 4x + c = 0 where the equation has only one solution... Find the value of c. How do I do that? Full working out please! The answer is 4 but I dont know why!!!!! 2) I also suck at factorising. I can factorise using bridge method, cross method, etc....but the really hard ones...... like this one is hard!!! What are the steps required to solve this??? TRIAL AND ERROR? OR AN ACTUAL METHOD??? Factorise: 16x^2 - y^2 - 6y - 9 The answer is: (4x - 3 -y) (4x + 3 + y) BUT I DONT KNOW WHY :( I used the cross method and stuff, but It still does work Factorise: a^2 - b^2 + a - b The answer is (a-b) (a+b+1) I get that when you factorise it, it becomes: (a-b)(a+b)+(a-b) but HOW does it change into (a-b)(a+b+1) THANK YOU. YOU CAN SAVE MY STUDIES sorry if I sounded a bit mean there, but I'm really desperate for help ♥♥♥

1) For the quadratic equation, x^2 - 4x + c = 0 where the equation has only one solution... Find the value of c. you can factor.. what values multiplied give a positive value of c and subtracted give a negative 4? -3 and -1 so your factors are (x-3)(x-1) = 0 multiplied gives you x^2 - 4x + 3 ..

OpenStudy (shamil98):

also another factor for x^2 - 4x + c would be (x-2)^2

OpenStudy (april115):

wise get off that fake acct

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

@april115 you've seen this before?

OpenStudy (april115):

Anna Davis is Wiseman and anna is a boy

OpenStudy (shamil98):

do i still get a medal

OpenStudy (shamil98):

sweet

OpenStudy (april115):

SOOO please don't pm anna, she's a boy and its wiseman

OpenStudy (primeralph):

Owned.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Totally owned lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but wait if anna is a boy then how do we know if april isn't @primeralph
