What would have happened if avery had added an enzyme that had digested all the neucleic acids in the mixture of heat killed bacteria, added the mixture to harmless bacteria, and injected the mixture into mice?

It contains all the information to a particular subject. in this case, the subject is YOU or someone else.

DNA basically is made up of codes of a person. Information on how they will look, what they are immune to and so on. The codes of DNA can be read in a process called protein synthesis. Information (in the form of codes) can be passed through generation to generation with reproduction, to be read again the same way.
