How do you add fractions?

OpenStudy (shamil98):

You find a common denominator and then add the numerators.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

find a common denominator then convert the fractions, then add the numerators and leave the denom

OpenStudy (shamil98):

1/2 + 1/3 You would use the formula: \[\large \frac{ a }{ b} + \frac{ c }{ d } = \frac{ ad + bc }{ bd }\]

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

some times there might a better choice than bd but you will learn to figure this out. bd will always work
