Can someone resolve the main and most important issue?
I see users that sign up and leave when they don't get the answer. I think that there should be either a block of everyone not moderator-authorized to help the newest people, so that these people know how to help the user in such a way that he will get a good impression from OS. Who is the newest? Moderators decide. Who is authorized? moderators decide. What do you guys think, I think fair enough, agree?
Or, a code of conduct link right when the user signed up shown, or moderators should explain every new comer why and how the website works and all that.
I agree, when i see new comers on OS, they usually ask a question and don't get it answered. Then they leave, and I don't see them for awhile. Great Idea!
Well i was banned because i cannot an answer haha
I think we can select a handful of willing ambassadors good in a specific subject and request them to help the new users there. But this doesn't mean ambassadors can only try this. Anyone willing could take up the responsibility. I would request the regular users to give more importance to the questions by new users when you are in an answering mood.
Yes, but the other main part of it, is not only having good helpers, but avoiding bad helpers.
I've seen people answer question of really new people and then they were offline for long.
I have not seen a lot of bad helpers here when compared to the amount of trolls and spam here. If you find someone being rude to a new user report them.
yes, I can totally see this, of course there are more trolls and spams... @AravindG you are totally right, I think a couple of good available to help right away ambassadors or any trusted to help people would be great.
Exactly! :)
But, unfortunately, I don't think this good helpers are available right away for many new comers. I wish I can help, and usually I try my best job to help other people. if I see a troll, unrelated to the question, do i report?
Of course! It is your duty to report such cases.
OK, I"LL DO SO, TY!
