OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

60 is 5% of what number translate that sentence into math 60 = .05x solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i do that?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

divide both sides by .05

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

\[60=.05x \ \implies \ x = \frac{60}{.05}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1200

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

@FutureMathProfessor <-- the human calculator

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

sup man, how are classes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Great! Taking Number Theory and Complex Analysis atm

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

sweet, I tell everyone that comlex analysis and analysis are the same. Just replace x with z and number theory we say is mental masturbation for mathematics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you saying number theory is for the most part easy then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@zzr0ck3r

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

yeah, you will walk through it

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

its for fun:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I breached into my schools inner workings and found the syllabus for my complex analysis class to find out that half of our grade is based on assignments and we have 2 exams only - both take home. I think I could live with that :)

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

nice, im guessing the analysis will be 10x harder than NT

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

when I took that class my teacher gave us a test to take home and there were questions he said that he didnt expect us to be able to do, but wanted to see how we attempted it. lol....bastard
