simplify completely x^2-15x+56/x-7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-8)(x-7)/(x-7) Cross out both (x-7) and you get D) x-8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about x^2+12x+35/3x+15? @sunnyshores

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plz post as another question

OpenStudy (abmon98):

we treat the equation x^2+12x+35 as quadratic

OpenStudy (abmon98):

we will get (x+5)(x+7)

OpenStudy (abmon98):

take a common factor of 3 from (3x-15) to have a 3(x-5) cross out (x+5) and (x-5) we are left with x-7
