the slope is 1/1
f(x) = x
if x = 1
then y = 1
and so on.
the y - intercept is zero.

From the diagram the line passes through (0,-2), thus the y intercept is -2.
The line also passes through (-2,1) therefore the slope, m, is -3/2 .
