Is the ratio of the rate of change for volume:depth proportional for a triangular prism?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Basically, look at #26

I found a) and I found that the raito of the rate of change of the volume to the depth's rate of change to be 1:2 and then it was the same for b), wouldn't that just be a shortcut if i knew a) then to use that same logi for b)?
