sin(32) = opposite / hypotenuse = 20 / x cross multiply: x * sin(32) = 20 * 1 divide both sides by sin(32) x = 20 / sin(32) (note; when using your calculator to solve for x, make sure you set the calculator to degrees and NOT radians).

You have to plug it into your calculator and find sin(32) and divide 20 by that number.
