If tan A,tan B are the roots of the equation x^2+px+q=0(p not equal to 0 ),then prove that tan(A+B)=p/q-1

OpenStudy (loser66):

since tanA , tan B are the roots, so tanA + tan B = -p and tan A tanB = q

OpenStudy (loser66):

1 - tanA tanB = 1-q take ratio to get the answer
