Here's the question: Jason considered two similar televisions at a local electronics store. The generic version was based off the brand name and was three eighths the size of the brand name. If the generic television set is 12 inches by 24 inches, what are the dimensions of the brand name television? Now I know I can use this as a function, mean I can take (x,y) and use it as (kx, ky) and K being the scale factor which is three eighths. Im just not sure how to start. Im not looking for someone to tell me the answer im looking for someone to walk me through the problem.
It gives me answer choices of what the brand name tv is, should I use those in the function? Like by multiplying the scale factor by the choices?
"three eighths the size" This is insufficient information. The problem cannot be solved unless we know if this means a linear measurement or an area.
I got the answer. @tkhunny but thank you!
