\[g(x)=x ^{3}+6x ^{2}-25x-150\]
use grouping in pairs \[(x^3 - 25x) + (6x^2 - 150)\] remove the common factors... and you'll be well on the way
how do i use synthetic division for this and what are the "common factors"
ok... so you have to use all of them,.... I can show you polynomial division... I don't do synthetic... even though its much the same.

start by showing x = -5 and x = 5 are zeros f(-5) = 0 and f(5) = 0 the that means (x -5)(x +5) = x^2 - 25 is a factor then its simply |dw:1388085717034:dw| so it factors to (x-5)(x+5)(x + 6)
