The use of phrases, fragments, and punctuation can affect the pace and mood of a text. How would you describe the pace of the following passage? "Yet, mad am I not—and very surely do I not dream. But to-morrow I die, and to-day I would unburden my soul. My immediate purpose is to place before the world, plainly, succinctly, and without comment, a series of mere household events. In their consequences, these events have terrified—have tortured—have destroyed me." Slow Fast Both fast and slow Average

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

I'd say fast and slow, because it seems like everything is going to happen so soon, yet is taking long to do.

I though that too but I got it wrong and Slow was also wrong. So it is either Fast or Average. :l

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

well it doesnt seem average

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I was going to pick Fast if nobody responded. Thanks for the help! :)
