Which mixture can be classified as a homogeneous mixture? A. salad dressing B. soil C. tap water D. sand
A homogeneous mixture means that two or more chemicals are equally distributed throughout the mixture, we often call a homogenous mixture a solution. This means that you could take a solution and split it into two volumes and both volumes would have the same concentration (they would have the exact same composition). Does this help you answer your question?
Remember solids are not usually homogenous (there are exceptions to this, pharmaceutics they really do a good job of creating homogenous solid mixtures). The reason this is, is because granular size of the particles that make up a solid may be variable. Think about if you were to mix basket balls with golf balls in a container.
Thus you only really have two choices, remember tap water isn't just pure water but contains minerals.
so it would be salad dressing @Australopithecus
