OpenStudy (inhaleof):

Determine the type of boundary line and shading for the graph of the inequality y less than or greater to 2x + 6 Dashed line with shading on the side that includes the origin. Solid line with shading on the side that does not include the origin. Dashed line with shading on the side that does not include the origin. Solid line with shading on the side that includes the origin.

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

check you inequality again please....there should be less then or equal, or greater then or equal. It should not be less then or greater then.

OpenStudy (inhaleof):

y<=2x+6

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

if there is an equal sign, there is a solid line. your inequality sign is less then, that means shading is below the line. You must first graph the line... y <= 2x + 6 y intercept is 6 x intercept is -3 Now lets test some points...(0,0) we will sub these into our inequality y <= 2x + 6 0 <= 2(0) + 6 0 <= 6 This is true...so the shading happens on the side of the line that is shaded. answer is : solid line with shading on the line that includes the origin.

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

typo...so the shading happens on the side of the line that included the origin
