what can i do if the mathlet isnt loading?

What OS and browser are you using?  You may not have Java and its plugin for your browser installed.  Also, some browsers block Java applets by default and you have to specifically allow them.

Okay, try opening a command prompt (from accessories) and then type in "java -v".  That will tell you what version of Java you have running.  If it's not version 7.45 or higher, download the newest version of Java.

If you've already got a new version of Java, try downloading the java plug-in for firefox.  Once you have that, try the applet again and look for a message at the very top of the browser asking you for permission to run the applet.
