Need help already got it wrong but I wanna know how to do it for finals. what is the polynomial function in standard form with zeros 1, 2, 3 and -3?

OpenStudy (lucaz):

zeros are the x values that make the polynomial=0, example a polynomial with zeros 1 and 2 is (x-1)(x-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok thanks i think i got it now

OpenStudy (lucaz):

right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so just to check it would be x^4-3x^3-7x^2+27x-18? or am i wrong?

OpenStudy (lucaz):

I think it's +3x^3 and -27x

OpenStudy (polaris_s0i):

Kailyn_rae_ is correct: \[(x - 1)(x - 2)(x -3)(x + 3)\] \[(x^2 - 3x + 2)(x-3)(x+3)\] \[(x^2 - 3x + 2)(x^2 - 9)\] \[x^4 - 9x^2 -3x^3 +27x + 2x^2 - 18\] \[x^4 -3x^3 - 7x^2 +27x + 18\]
